BreakfastWhile you help yourself from the wide selection of fruits, cereals,four varieties of juices etc available on our side board buffet, we shall prepare your choice of cooked breakfast to order. Traditionally prepared porridge is a speciality. Smoked salmon with scrambled eggs (sourced from a farm in Stranraer) is always available as an alternative to the traditional cooked breakfast. Eggs (fried, scrambled, poached or boiled), bacon, sausage, fresh mushrooms and tomatoes are always on the menu while the daily “extra” may be potato scones, scotch pancakes, hash browns or even sliced haggis New for 2011, we have introduced our Kiwi Special - bacon with banana and maple syrup on a toasted muffin garnished with kiwi fruit. As well as tea or ground coffee we have varieties such as Earl Grey, Fruit Teas, Decaf, just ask - we probably have it!, DinnerFor guests who prefer to have their evening meal with us, Maggie is an accomplished cook and we can provide a delicious 2 or 3 course home cooked meal six nights a week. Local produce is used whenever possible. We have a residents license so that you can enjoy some wine or perhaps a bottle of Sulwath real ale brewed in Castle Douglas..
